Britain’s Finest is an experience unlike any other. You may have seen Beatles tribute acts before, but this time you’ll be in awe of the enthusiasm and energy for which they are recognized and remembered. After every performance, audience members are struck at first by the incredible recreation of those oh-so-familiar songs the world has come to love, but then become mesmerized by the off-the-cuff humor and the cheeky banter that takes place between songs.
The Falling Doves
The Falling Doves are ecstatic to return to the San Diego Beatle Fair in 2017. Currently promoting their sophomore album, Doves of War, which was released September 16 via RMN Records following a string of successful shows in the US, a fifteen date rock tour through the UK, Netherlands and Germany. Where the band recreated the Beatles Aug 17th 1960' Journey to Hamburg , the band performed a goodbye concert at The Jacaranda in Liverpool much like the Beatles, and made their Journey on a van and ferry across the Netherlands to Finally arrive at The Kaiser Keller in Hamburg Germany and perform a long 4 hour set much like the Beatles did in 1960 with the tour concluding in Liverpool UK at the world famous Cavern Club.
The Falling Doves is the culmination of front man Leyva’s years of roadwork, a veteran of numerous bands, recordings and projects. It’s the sum of years of working and recording with artists ranging from power pop legend Phil Solemn (The Rembrandt's) to electronic pioneer Chris Reynolds (Red Flag), local San Diego troubadour Steve Poltz (Jewel), and most recently 2016 Rock & Roll Hall of fame inductee Greg Douglas ( Steve Miller Band ) simultaneously provided mentorship to Christopher Leyva’s songwriting and performance skills.
Born in Hollywood’s jaded streets, Christopher Leyva, Mike Dorsey, Clint Feedersen, and Studio player Skyler Lutes make up the Falling Doves who all share a passion for reviving classic rock with a modern twist. The music is a brilliant blast of killer riffs, Rock & Roll, whiskey laced vocals infused with bits of glam and blues. Sex drenched songs paired up with an aggressive performance style and enchanting lyrical mysticism that echoes another time.
In the past two years, the Falling Doves have taken their music on numerous trips throughout the west coast. They’ve played to ever-increasing crowds, bigger and louder each time; opening for acts such as Peter Murphy, Everclear, Eve 6, Lit, Kansas, Fastball, Gilby Clark, (Guns and Roses) Echo & The Bunnymen, Scott Russo (Unwritten Law), Sidhharta, Story of the Year and Alien Ant Farm to name a few. Since then the band has managed to take over the West Coast & the Las Vegas Music Scene.
Their new album Doves of War, was Produced in part by Rick Parker of (BRMC, Scott Weiland, Lord Huron, and the Dandy Warhol's), and Skyler Lutes in San Diego with additional production by Jason Hill from (Louis XIV, Jett, The Killers, Muse, and Bowie).
